In Del’s own words: “these paintings are a celebration of the spiritual force that gives life to all. It weaves together all things, all places and all time.” In addition to new paintings from Del’s “Cosmic Fiber” series he will also be premiering new work inspired by the beauty of the Ocean, which includes a massive 5’ x 24’ piece. When asked about the painting Del said, “I set out with the intention to paint trees but I surrendered to the process and I ended up with, go figure, water lilies — and I couldn’t be happier. It’s better than I could have ever planned myself. I find life is a lot like that too. When I quit holding on so tightly to how I think things should be and start swimming with the current instead of against it things are just better in everyway.” Del is a nationally exhibited artist who attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston after growing up in Virginia Beach. He has over one hundred paintings in private and public collections including a 5’x12’ piece at Sentara Martha Jefferson in Charlottesville, Va.
