Sick of being stuck inside this winter? If you suffer from cabin fever, especially after dark, Waynesboro has a remedy. End your cold weather blues by warming up with some fun live music at local bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and the historic Wayne Theatre. Read on to find the tunes!

The Wayne Theatre showcases all kinds of events including plays and musicals, screenings of classic films, lectures, and workshops for actors and performers hoping to hone their crafts. The Wayne also brings in big musical acts like upcoming shows by Seamus Egan Project, Celtic Angels, and John McCutcheon.

One of Waynesboro’s most popular music venues is Basic City Beer Co. Order a Billy Pie pizza and a pint of craft beer and enjoy one of the local and regional acts that take the stage. The big news is, Basic City is opening a music venue, The Foundry, in March. Come jam to Yonder Mountain String Band for their opening performance March 16th!

The Green Leaf Grill features live music every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. While you listen, enjoy a big menu of drinks, sandwiches, and entrees, many with an exciting Cajun twist.

E&J’s Deli Pub brings in local and regional acts every Friday and Saturday night. This family-owned restaurant specializes in burgers, tacos, bowls, and baskets, with regular specials on steamed shrimp, wings, and pitchers of beer.

Plaza Antigua fires up the live music on Fridays and Sundays, and Saturday usually means some kind of fun, themed party. You’ll also love the menu filled with all your Mexican favorites, made in authentic style and emphasizing fresh ingredients.

For an intimate setting and a variety of talent, visit the French Press for coffee, sandwiches, and Open Mic nights each Friday.

Seven Arrows Brewing Company puts live music on the stage every Saturday night. And if you’re feeling the itch to perform, grab the microphone during one of the monthly open mic nights (first Tuesday of each month). Seven Arrows serves up a dozen taps of delicious craft beer, and the onsite Nobos Kitchen will satisfy your hunger with pub favorites.

Barren Ridge Vineyards hosts regular live music at its peaceful location in Augusta County. Head over for Wine Down Wednesday, Sunset Saturday, and Sunday Live music. Relax to tunes as you sip and gaze over the grapevines at the distant mountains.

Stable Craft Brewing often has something fun going on like themed parties, chances to pet the horses, and live music. This brewery is sprawling, so you can do multiple activities (or keep the kids busy if you brought them). Visit for local musical acts, excellent beer and cider, and a tasty menu of agri-pub fare.

The City Foxes is Waynesboro’s newest place to enjoy wine, craft beer, cider, and made-from-scratch food prepared with local ingredients. You can also buy wine, art, and gifts in the market. Check the schedule for upcoming live music events.

Bottles doesn’t usually host live bands, but there’s a DJ spinning top 40 dance tunes each Friday night and karaoke happening every time the doors are open!  You can’t help but have fun drinking beer, playing games, riding the mechanical bull, and moving to the beat!

Looking forward to warmer weather

The Fishin’ Pig is known for its finger-licking barbeque and fried fish as well as being the place to be to listen to music on a Friday or Saturday night. Look for the outdoor Pig Pen to reopen when the weather warms up in April.

Summer weather will bring Groovin’ at the Greenway back to Waynesboro. Each Thursday night from May-July, the community will gather at Constitution Park to listen to a favorite band and grab dinner from the week’s featured food truck.
