Bring your Group to our Friendly Mountain Town
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a divinely placed mountain town, connecting ridgetop vistas with the most flavorful local brews and downtown destinations. Round up your friends and bring them to Waynesboro - this group-friendly itinerary will leave you cheering for more.
Fuel up for the day with coffee and pastries from the French Press, then head up the street to the Russell Museum, where you’ll find an enormous collection of paintings and sculpture works by the renowned artist, Walter Russell. He and his wife lived at Swannanoa Palace on Afton Mountain during the 1950s. Schedule a private tour at this historic masterpiece made of Italian marble, adorned with a Tiffany-stained glass window.
On your way back down the mountain, make a pit stop at Blue Ridge Bucha, one of only a handful of kombucha taprooms on the east coast, for a tasting flight and a growler to-go.
From there, designate a driver and hop on the Shenandoah Beerwerks Trail, with three stops at local breweries. Start at Basic City Beer Co., just half a mile down the street from Blue Ridge Bucha, where natural spring water is used to brew award-winning craft beers, from IPAs to barrel-aged stouts.
Hit Seven Arrows Brewing Co. for 14 beers on draft in a cozy, kid-friendly, pet-friendly atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. If you’re in need of a snack, grab a tasty treat from in-house Nobos Kitchen.
Finally, end your day at Stable Craft Brewing, a working horse farm turned brewery that recently started producing its own ciders and CBD seltzers, as well. Their menu of farm-fresh fare is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters in your group.
