The Virginia Street Arts Festival 2026 is set to paint the town (literally) on May 16-17. We’re welcoming back festival favorites Humble, Jesse Jentzen, and Andrew Davis to create four brand-new murals in downtown Waynesboro. Plus, we’re excited to welcome ROSHI K and Jon Murrill to the festival! More colorful details are coming soon!
Here are the locations of the new murals:

The Augusta Cleaners building, 534 W Main Street, “Birdwatching” by Jon Murrill

Initial Inspiration, 412 W Main Street and 414 W Main Street, “Velvet Grove” by Jesse Jentzen

The Russell Museum, 518 W Main Street, “Long Light – Black Bear” by Humble

Alley beside Under the Roof, 400 W Main Street, “Arcadia” by Andrew Davis

Rosenwald School/Waynesboro Parks and Recreation, 413 Port Republic Road, “A Stitch, A Rhythm” by ROSHI K

307 W Main Street facing Arch Avenue, “Golden Hour” by Jesse Jentzen with collaboration by ROSHI K, Humble, and Andrew Davis
There will also be so much to do!
Here’s what’s happening:
Live mural painting! We’re adding six new murals to Downtown Waynesboro! Keep an eye out for where they’re going and what they’re going to be!
🖌️Live Mural Experience with Jon Murrill! From the artist: I am so pleased to partner with the Virginia Street Art Festival this May by bringing a large scale mural to life in downtown Waynesboro….and I’d like to share the process with you! During this experience we will chat all things public art including spray cans, techniques, stories and more. In our groups you will also have the chance to paint a part of the actual mural as we build towards the final product.
You may ask…do I need to be an artist to participate? The answer is no, I guarantee that all skill levels can participate. All materials will be provided, just bring a form of hydration and some clothes you don’t mind getting a little paint on. This is meant to be a fun and stress free experience so come ready to participate and learn a bit along the way.
The mural site will be located at Augusta Cleaners, 534 W Main Street. Just look for the guy covered in paint! There is a great deal of interest in these paint experiences, so I ask that you only sign up for one slot per person at this time to allow as many people to participate as possible. Each session is capped at 10 volunteers to keep a manageable working space and get the most out of the experience. This is first come first serve so the sooner you and your group sign up the better. Each mural experience will last approximately one hour. If you have any questions feel free to email me through this website….See you at the mural! Sign up for you experience here.
