BASICWEEN: A HALLOWEEN NIGHT AT THE FOUNDRY
Something wicked is brewing in Basic City.
This Halloween, the lights go down, the volume goes up, and The Foundry opens its doors for BASICWEEN — a full night of live music, costumes, cold beer, strange creatures, questionable decisions and whatever else crawls out after dark.
On Saturday, October 31st, three bands descend on The Foundry stage: The WaHookies, SOULCRY and XOAP.
The WaHookies are no strangers to stages around the Shenandoah Valley, bringing a live show built for a crowd ready to cut loose. The longtime Virginia favorites have become a familiar name around Waynesboro and the surrounding region.
SOULCRY brings the heavier side of the night, mixing covers with their own original rock and roll. They return to The Foundry after previous appearances on our stage, and their 2026 Barn Burners EP delivers exactly the kind of song titles you’d hope to find lurking around a Halloween show — including “Howling,” “Burn” and “Night of the Knife.”
And then there’s XOAP. Based right here in Waynesboro, XOAP has built its own strange little musical universe around original music, community and live experiences, with albums including Soup and Missing Pieces. Their annual Fam Jam gatherings have become part concert, part adventure and entirely XOAP — making them a particularly appropriate addition to the BASICWEEN madness.
