Virginia Street Arts Festival – May 16-17, 2026

The Virginia Street Arts Festival 2026 is set to paint the town (literally) on May 16-17. We’re welcoming back festival favorites Humble, Jesse Jentzen, and Andrew Davis to create four brand-new murals in downtown Waynesboro. Plus, we’re excited to welcome ROSHI K and Jon Murrill to the festival! More colorful details are coming soon!

Live mural painting! We’re adding six new murals to Downtown Waynesboro! Keep an eye out for where they’re going and what they’re going to be!
Live music all weekend! We’re partnering with the Hot Spot Collective this year to bring you live music and family friendly programming all weekend long. See the lineup below!
Artisan Market with Shenandoah Valley Art Center! Think of it as a mini Fall Foliage Art Show so you can get your art fix before fall! Interested in being an artist at the market? Visit svacart.com to apply.
Mobile Museum Experiences! We’ll be hosting the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the VA250 Mobile Museum celebrating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, the Virginia Museum of Natural History, the Library of Virginia, and the Office on Youth’s Community in Motion bus.
Guided Street Arts Tours! The Waynesboro Public Library will be hosting guided street art tours on Saturday, May 16. Register for the 10:00 am or 12:00 pm tour, spots fill up fast!
Rosenwald and Port Republic Road Historical District Open House Block Party with Waynesboro Parks and Recreation!
Community Art Projects! Make your own art! The Waynesboro Rotary Club, Waynesboro Parks and Recreation, Destination Downtown Waynesboro, and MORE will be offering community art projects for no cost/donations!
👕 Decorate your own t-shirt! This fundraiser to help support the Virginia Street Arts Festival and sponsored by Initial Inspiration, is a pay-what-you-will with a suggested donation of $10 that includes a Virginia Street Arts Festival T-shirt and all the supplies you need to make your own awesome memory!
🎆Vision Art Explosion! Main Street United Methodist will be hosting a full weekend of art fun including a giant bubble station, creating your own story and illustrations, thumbprint art, home made greeting cards, rock painting, a stained glass window tour and more!

Welcome to Hiker Fest, the ultimate celebration of outdoor adventure in the heart of Waynesboro, VA! Get ready for a day of live music, free yoga sessions, henna designs, local food, trail talks, DIY tie dye, tarot reading, outdoor vendors showcasing their wares, and more! Hiker Fest definitely has something for everyone. We also offer exclusive discounts for AT thru hikers and a complimentary breakfast for anyone with their AT hangtag. Join us as we come together to celebrate nature, music, and the joy of exploration at Hiker Fest! Admission is FREE! Bring your 2026 thru hangtag for free breakfast and deals from vendors!

Hiker Fest Kick Off Party Friday, June 5, 2026
AT Thru Hikers! This is for you! Start the Hiker Fest weekend off with some Trail Magic at Rockfish Gap when you hop off the trail. Appalachian Long Distance Hikers Association and Waynesboro Tourism will be hosting a hiker feed sponsored by McKee Foods from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. We’ll also be running shuttles down the mountain and into Waynesboro all day. Hikers can also enjoy free camping downtown. Stop by the YMCA (648 S Wayne), Waynesboro Public Library (600 S Wayne), or Waynesboro Visitors Center (301 W Main) to get your free two night camping pass.

DORA: Waynesboro is a DORA community
DORA stands for Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area and allows visitors to downtown Waynesboro to take their drinks while shopping and enjoying downtown art and museums during designated DORA events. Look for the boundary signs and read over the ABC guidelines. And be sure to have fun!
